Double the Clean, Double the Impact: Wahiawa Roof and Wall Restoration
The standing seam metal roof at this Wahiawa home had become heavily infested with organic growth, turning the surface dark and causing it to absorb a significant amount of heat. This not only diminished the appearance of the home but also contributed to higher interior temperatures and unnecessary stress on the roofing system. The client also requested pressure washing for the CMU wall bordering the property, which was similarly affected by algae and mildew buildup. Restoring both surfaces was essential to improving the overall look, cleanliness, and function of the property.
The roof was treated using a soft wash process that gently eliminated organic growth without risking damage to the metal panels or their protective finish. Low-pressure application and specialized cleaning solutions allowed the growth to be neutralized at its source, restoring the roof’s color and helping it reflect heat more effectively. Once the roof was complete, the CMU wall was pressure washed to remove deeply embedded algae, mildew, and staining from the porous surface. This combination of methods ensured each material was cleaned in the safest and most effective way, resulting in a cleaner, cooler, and more visually appealing property overall.
Total areas cleaned: Entire Roof of Home + CMU Wall + Surrounding Hardscape.
Geographical considerations: While not as humid as some windward areas of the island, Wahiawa does experience more rain and cooler temperatures than other parts of Oahu. This can lead to higher rates of organic growth and mildew. There is also a higher amount of red dirt in the air from surrounding farmland that can stain things.
