Soft Washing is a term that has been gaining more attention over the last couple of years. And with good reason! While Pressure Washing is a great way to clean some surfaces, it's not necessarily good for your home. Those high-pressure systems can remove paint and cause other kinds of damage. Soft Washing however, is the more effective and safest way to clean your home's exterior.
Soft Washing will:
• Extend the life of your home's paint
• Prevent respiratory issues caused by mold/mildew spores
• Restore your home's curb appeal
This term has become more popular over the last few years, but there is a specific meaning for it. This is a process that we accmomplish this by first rinsing the home/surface, then, applying a customized cleaning solution to your home/wall, etc. that is safe for your landscaping, as well as biodegradeable. High-pressure water is not used, and in fact, basically no machinery at all is involved. Our cleaning techs apply our eco-friendly cleaning agents to loosen any dirt, mold, mildew from the affected surface, and then specific brushes are used to scrub it off softly. Hand-washing surfaces like your home's siding will achieve the goal while preserving the integrity of your paint or siding, and actually extending the their lifespan. Our cleaning agents also offer a deterrent quality to avoid any growth from immediately coming back, and keeping it clean for longer.
This cleaning method works great for washing the exterior walls of your home. This can be used on painted surfaces or siding, and can also clean the eaves of your home, the roof, solar panels, vinyl fencing, and can be used to clean more delicate types of concrete or rock where pressure may affect the integrity.
If you are interested in cleaning your home's roof, visit this page to learn more about the process. If you have solar panels, our Solar Panel Cleaning can get your system running at its best. And, if you have other hard surfaces that need to be cleaned, our Pressure Washing can work for both residential and commercial properties.
Whether it's the eaves of your home or the siding next to your front door, many areas will benefit from our Soft Wash services. The before/after image slider can help you see what a difference this service can make, and the video shows you how the process works. Q: What is the normal process for soft washing?
A - Most commonly, the main thing is to make sure all windows and doors to the home are closed. It can be treated like a brief rain shower, and since no pressure is being used, there's not a high likelihood that water will enter the home. We also recommend moving any property from the perimeter of the home that you need to keep dry.
Q: How often should I soft wash my home?
A - This can depend on the area you live in as well as some other external factors. If you live in a very humid area of Oahu, you may experience faster mold growth and need more frequent cleaning. If you also live in an area that has a lot of dirt or exhaust from vehicles or traffic, it could mean more frequent cleaning, too. Typically, though, most homes benefit from this service once a year. We have maintenance plans that can help with this.
Our soft wash services don't use high pressure or harsh cleaning agents. If you are looking to clean hard surfaces, check out our Pressure Washing Services here, or if you would like to clean your home's roof, check out our Roof Washing page. Do you have solar panels?
